1 Q. Why are Russian women looking for a foreign husband?
One of the main reasons is the gender ratio. Quite simply in most Russian
cities women outnumber men by a staggering degree. In Novosibirsk, for
example, recent statistics record that there is a 7 to 1 ratio in favour of
women in the 20-45 age range. A similar situation exists in Ukrainian
cities. There is a dearth of prospective partners!
A second reason is the curse of the demon drink! Women have invariably
experienced unhappy, unsatisfying previous marriages/relationships which
have been partly caused by or resulted in the male partner abusing alcohol
with all its disastrous consequences. How many times have we seen her
requirements: must not have any bad habits or misuse alcohol!?
2 Q. What qualities are Russian women looking for in foreign men?
Women who have experienced financial, emotional and personal hardships are
going to be circumspect before entering a relationship, particularly with a
foreign man; She needs to feel secure that she is making the correct
decision. These feelings are intensified, of course, if she is a single
parent. As a lady said,"I have a home in Moscow, I eat well, can buy good
clothes, have all I need. I need a guarantee I can have at least these
things abroad." Russian women are worldly, practical, realistic but also
romantic and looking for love: "to love and be loved?"; to many physical
characteristics of a prospective partner are of secondary or minor
importance. Much more important is the' inner person' or' inner beauty'. I
know or know of many cases when a woman refused what we would consider to be
a physically attractive man with a very good income in favour of a short,
plain ugly chap, because he was seen as being a good person and he doted on
her.
3 Q. What is an acceptable age difference for Russian women?
Generally speaking Russian women are prepared to accept a greater age
difference than Western women. They see in older men a maturity that is
often lacking in men their own age and who therefore can provide them with
this important ingredient of security which they demand. An age range of
between 5-15 years is the norm though much depends on personal preferences
and mentalities. Common sense dictates that the greater the age differences
the more likely the couples attitudes, tastes, interests, habits etc will
diverge accordingly.
4 Q. How many women should I choose to write letters to?
Most people start by writing letters to up to ten women, as they believe
they will receive replies only from a proportion of that number. This, I
believe is too excessive. When you come to choosing your favourite women,
you should consider carefully the age difference-not more than 20 years- and
personal characteristics: whether you share the same or similar interests;
whether you are compatible and have attitudes in common about life. By then
following a simple, commonsensical approach to letter writing, you can
expect a 100% response rate and so writing to five women should be more than
sufficient. Of course other unforeseen factors may play their part. Needless
to say our agents are advised to encourage women to respond to all letters
even if the response is in the negative.
Q 5 How often should I write letters?
The women in our agency are eager and serious in finding a prospective
husband, resolving their past difficulties and starting anew. So speed of
correspondence is very important. She may be writing to more than one man
and will be more impressed to receive a constant supply of letters than if
she is kept waiting wondering if you have lost interest in her.
Q 6 How long should I be writing letters for before I decide to visit?
It might appear obvious but the reason for starting correspondence in the
first place is to become acquainted in order to form a basis for a personal
meeting which could lead to romance/ marriage. For many people this process
is too long as the client knows as much as is of value about the lady after
a few months of writing as he does after a greater period of writing. So I
would say it is worthwhile to start organising your trip after 2 or 3
months; after all what is the point of writing and waiting for a year before
making the trip only to discover that you and your lady were not compatible.
A client was disappointed for the same reason: when he finally met the lady
he had been writing to in the Ukraine he instantly realised that she was not
the photogenic model he had become infatuated with from her photograph! Face
to face encounters are essential! It amazes me to believe that only one man
in 20 people who write letters actually make a tour to Russia or countries
in the former Soviet Union to visit their lady.
Q 7 Is it worthwhile writing letters to women who are popular and have had
their addresses retrieved? so often?
Most definitely.
Our agents who are based in most of the major cities check regularly the
availability of every lady and so ensure that every lady in our gallery is
currently available. The reason for a popular lady still being available is
simply she hasn't found the right man, or the men she is interested in and
has been corresponding with have not bothered to take the trouble to visit
her. It must also be understood, for example, that 85 addresses retrieved to
a ladies name for example, does not necessarily imply that she has received
letters from 85 different men. She may have received letters from less than
half that number and may or may not becorresponding with a mere handful.
Q 8 How can I be sure that the ladies are genuine and that letters are not
being written by your local agents?
Each woman's application and passport are checked and verified by our local
agents when she registers. The application is then sent for further
verification before being accepted on the database.
